BHRTR’s co-founder and chairperson Dr. Çiğdem Çımrın attended “Shaping the Future of Turkey – EU Relations Together” three day program in Brussels, Belgium planned by the European Parliament in collaboration with Friedrich Naumann Foundation and European Neighborhood Council; where issues relating got voice of women, civil society, the impact of devastating earthquakes, upcoming elections and the importance of democracy were discussed.
Once again reiterating the importance of human rights due diligence, Dr. Çımrın emphasized “We don’t want to keep Turkey the cheap hub that other countries are continually exploiting, that’s why it’s important to push for human rights due diligence agenda.”
