Prevention & Remediation: Child Friendly Space
BHRTR created the Child Friendly Space in the Ardıçlı village of Keçiborlu region of Isparta, in cooperation with the public and private sectors, to offer a safe place for children of seasonal migrant workers as an alternative method for both the prevention and remediation phases of human rights due diligence (HRDD) in agricultural supply chains.
Seasonal migrant workers and their families, who come to the Isparta every year, spend most of their lives in different geographies and different provinces under difficult conditions, in pursuit of the harvested products. The children of seasonal migrant workers, who travel around the country along with their parents, live without being able to live their childhood and mostly in very unfavourable conditions for a child.
