Business and Human Rights Association Joins the OECD Türkiye National Contact Point Advisory Board

The Business and Human Rights Association is represented on the Advisory Board of the OECD Türkiye National Contact Point (NCP) for Responsible Business Conduct as a civil society organisation.

Established with Ministerial approval within the framework of the OECD Türkiye National Contact Point (NCP) for Responsible Business Conduct, which operates under the Directorate General for Incentive Implementation and Foreign Investment of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the NCP Advisory Board brings together representatives from government, business, trade unions, civil society and academia.

The Business and Human Rights Association serves on the Advisory Board as one of the civil society organisations that are members of OECD Watch, the international civil society network monitoring the implementation of the OECD Guidelines.

The Advisory Board aims to support the effective implementation of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct in Türkiye, contribute to policy development in the field of responsible business conduct, promote regulatory alignment and good practices, and strengthen regular dialogue and the exchange of knowledge and experience among relevant stakeholders.

Alongside relevant ministries and public institutions, the Advisory Board includes representatives from TOBB, TİSK, TÜSİAD, TÜRK-İŞ, HAK-İŞ, TÜRKONFED, TİM, YASED, DEİK and Borsa İstanbul, as well as other leading organisations and academics.

Our Association’s participation in the Advisory Board represents an important part of our mission to bring a civil society perspective to the development of policies and practices on business and human rights and responsible business conduct in Türkiye. We will continue to contribute to multi-stakeholder collaboration and efforts to strengthen responsible, sustainable and human rights-respecting business conduct in Türkiye.
